About Superior Health Linens

Superior Health Linens has been around since 1990. In that time we have gone through four owners. We finally got it right. In 2007 our managers were able to buy out previous owners Bill Nicklas and Jim Baumgartner. Bill and Jim wanted to continue on their legacy by selling the business to the team that took the company to a new level.

Scott Reppert, CEO; Bill Witowski, CFO; Greg Schermerhorn, COO; Steve Shabat, GM; Bryan Immergluck, Sales; Jennie Swartz, Customer Service; Juan Guillen, Director of Operations; Mark Mackert, Director of Engineering; Megan Wilson, Merchandise Manager; and Tim Pruett, GM – are a team of owners unique to the industry. Tim was our most addition, joining the team in April, 2009. Each person is responsible for different aspects of the company. Each person offers their unique perspective on issues important to our customers and employees. We believe that no other company is managed by a team so diverse. We also have a great team of senior people servicing our customers including Roger Lewis, GM, Madison, Mike Tousey, Mary Kuehl, and Kirstin Ackmann, all Customer Service Reps in Cudahy, Madison, and Illinois. Not only is our team diverse but we are sure that no other company can be as close to their customers and employees as Superior Health Linens.

We are proud to be accredited by the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council. HLAC is an accrediting body that has accredited only 75 hospitals nation-wide. To learn more about HLAC visit www.hlacnet.org. As an HLAC-accredited laundry we have demonstrated that:

All managers at Superior Health Linens understand and follow key government mandates for handling, processing, and transporting healthcare textiles. In particular, the laundry is following OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard to the letter.
Our facilities are designed and maintained to provide for the health and safety of its personnel.
All Superior Health Linens personnel who handle healthcare textiles are properly trained.
Superior Health Linens follows recommended “good industry practices” in our systems, policies and procedures that will provide the consistent delivery of healthcare textiles in the quality and quantity expected by the customer.

When HLAC accredits a laundry, it warrants that the organization has successfully passed an inspection of its facility, policies and procedures, training programs, and its relationships with its healthcare customers. The inspection is based on Accreditation Standards for Processing Reusable Textiles for Use in Healthcare Facilities, published by The Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council in April 2006. SHL wants our prospective customers to take time and visit our facilities - once they see what we do it will be much obvious why we are clearly superior to our competition.

We are currently located in Madison and Cudahy (Milwaukee) Wisconsin; and in Batavia, Illinois. We deliver linen service to a wide area covering over 29,000 square miles of Wisconsin and Illinois.
